Advanced Reporting - Edit Mode vs. Run Mode

Edit mode is where you will craft and refine your report, while run mode is where you will see its performance and behavior with data applied for interpretation. Both modes are crucial for the development, testing, and application of reporting.

00:00: Hi, this is Nikki from healthy roster. 00:02: This tutorial is going to walk you through edit mode verse run mode and the capabilities 00:06: behind each mode Let's first Define. 00:09: What these are edit mode is where you will craft and refine your report 00:14: while run mode is where you will see the performance and behavior of your report with data 00:18: applied for interpretation. Both modes are crucial for development and testing 00:22: and therefore application of your reporting data. 00:24: Let's jump in 00:27: First let's review edit mode. We're going to view an existing 00:31: report select the menu icon to the right of the report. 00:36: Now select edit 00:39: You will see here. I am now setting and edit mode. 00:41: This is the view you will be in when you are editing. 00:43: Your report edit mode is signified by the ability to add edit 00:48: or reconfigure the report itself within edit mode. 00:51: There are a handful of actions to know. 00:55: First let's review selecting done done signifies 00:59: that you've completed editing your report and you'd like to switch from edit mode to 01:03: run mode. 01:07: The plus button signifies add. 01:09: This icon will allow you to add a block item block items 01:13: include tables charts images texts and 01:17: formatting options. 01:20: Selecting the edit icon allows you the ability to edit the name and 01:24: the description of the report in front of you. 01:27: Delete icon allows you the ability to delete this overall report. 01:30: You will receive a warning to confirm the deletion of this report. 01:36: Another area to know of importance in edit mode is the refresh button selecting 01:41: refresh will update any changes that you've made to your report selecting refresh 01:45: is recommended often as you're building a rapport so that you're able to ensure the changes 01:49: you make are the changes you'd like on your report. 01:53: Each block item that you've input onto your report will house its own menu 01:57: within this menu. There are different functions that you're able to apply to 02:01: your block item. 02:04: The first of which is edit. Selecting edit allows you to edit this 02:08: block item overall. 02:11: The next item is copy solect and copy will copy the block 02:15: item in front of you. This will take the copied version and place it at the top of 02:19: your form where you can drag drop edit filter and continue the process 02:23: of building your form as necessary. 02:26: The next item is Filters. If you'd like to apply specific filters to 02:30: your block item you can do so by this action. 02:32: If you're interested in applying more filters, please follow along with 02:36: additional linked training. 02:39: Now, let's presume that we've completed editing our report. 02:42: I'm going to select the done icon to switch over to 02:46: run mode. 02:48: You will now be sitting within run mode run mode signifies the 02:52: ability for you to be able to run the report with data for interpretation or export 02:57: in run mode. You are on able to manipulate the report any longer. 03:01: To begin set your parameters for the report and then select run. 03:08: While you are unable to manipulate the data or the look of the report while you're 03:12: in run mode the menu icon will house actions for review while 03:16: in this state select the menu icon. 03:20: The first item for selection is edit selecting edit will take you back 03:24: in to edit mode. We do recommend while you're building your report 03:28: frequently switching from edit mode to run mode. 03:31: It's important to make sure that your data is presented the way you want it to. 03:37: The next item is the favorite icon. This will Mark your report as a favorite report. 03:41: You're then able to switch and view only favorite reports or 03:45: search by favor of words when you navigate to your reporting tab. 03:50: If you'd like to make a copy of this report, you can do so by selecting copy. 03:56: Selecting the print icon will take you to the print settings for your device here. 04:00: You are able to save or export your report as necessary. 04:05: Command p on Mac devices or Ctrl p 04:09: on most other devices will complete the same action. 04:14: The next icon is managed access. 04:16: This will grant you the ability to share the report with providers organization 04:21: or team users within your Healthy roster account. 04:25: The last item on this menu is delete selecting. 04:28: Delete here will delete this overall report you will receive confirmation prior 04:33: to deleting your report. 04:36: If you have questions or need more help, please visit the help tab on the left navigation 04:40: or reach us directly at help at healthy roster.com.

Step-By-Step Tutorial - Edit Mode

Edit Mode: This is the view you will be using when you're editing your report. Edit mode is signified by the ability to add/edit or reconfigure the report itself. Within Edit Mode, there are a handful of actions to know.

  1. Done: Signifies that you've completed editing your report and would like to switch from Edit Mode to Run Mode.
  1. Add: This icon allows you to add a Block item. Tables, charts, Images, and Text with formatting options are available.
  2. Edit: Selecting Edit allows you the ability to edit the name and description of the report
  3. Delete: This allows you to delete the report.
  4. Refresh: Selecting refresh will update any changes you've made to your report. Selecting Refresh is recommended often as you build your report so you can ensure the changes you make are the changes you'd like.
  5. Each block item on your report will also house its own Menu with options as well, to access the menu, select the menu icon
    1. Edit: Edits the block item
    2. Copy: copies the block item
    3. Filters: Grants you access to apply filters to the block item
    4. Delete: deletes the block item

Step-By-Step Tutorial - Run Mode

Run Mode: This is signified by the ability to now run the report with data for interpretation or export. In run mode, you cannot manipulate the report. Within Run Mode, there are a handful of actions to understand

  1. Run: Selecting Run will populate the data onto your report.
  2. The menu icon will also house actions for review while in Run Mode
    1. Edit: This will take you back into edit mode
    2. Favorite: This marks the report as a favorite report; you can then search or view only favorite reports when you navigate to your reporting tab
    3. Copy: Make a copy of the report in your report listing
    4. Print: This takes you to the print settings for your device to print the report
    5. Manage Access: This will grant you access to share the report with providers/organization/team users within your Healthy Roster account
    6. Delete: Deletes the report
