Understanding Direct Access and Inherited Access

00:01: Hi, this is Nikki from healthy roster. 00:03: This tutorial will help you better understand the managed users table more. 00:07: So the difference between direct access and inherited access in 00:11: general direct access signifies users have been granted access or invited 00:16: to manage this location. Inherited access signifies that 00:20: users have a higher level of access and their access from this location cannot 00:24: be changed. Our system will place the users in the right location. 00:28: Once your invitees have accepted their invitation, but it 00:32: is important to know the difference based on location. 00:34: Let's review the differences. 00:37: Let's first review an organization. 00:41: Now select manage users 00:46: First you will see direct access. 00:49: These are users that were invited to manage the organization example 00:54: users that you may see listed here would be an add a coach and 00:58: the college setting or maybe a manager or administrator in the OC 01:02: Health Group. 01:04: Now select inherited access here. 01:07: You will see user or users that have been granted access at a higher level 01:11: than the organization because we are on the organizations inherited 01:16: access tab. This listing will show provider users. 01:21: Now, let's navigate to a team page. 01:24: Select manage users for this team 01:28: Now let's once again review what direct means direct access means 01:32: that this user or users have been invited directly to access this 01:36: team. Typically speaking from the team page. 01:40: You will see a coach a team lead or a manager. 01:45: Now selecting inherited access we see that the users that are listed 01:49: here have been granted access at the organization or provider level a 01:54: higher level of permission than that of just the team. 01:58: The last area that you'll want to review manage users will be for a 02:02: patient profile. 02:04: From the patient profile select manage users 02:08: Direct access on the patient profile will signify a user that has 02:12: been granted access to manage this patient profile. 02:15: Typically.
